Born and raised in Southern Germany, I came to Australia in 2006. On my quest for good beer like they make back home, I learnt how to brew, discovering Australian and American craft beer along the way.
Although I like drinking and brewing lagers the best, in the last few years I have branched out into traditional and modern sour beers. In 2016, my Flanders Red with Raspberries won Champion Beer of Show in both Vicbrew and the AABC.
The beer I brewed for the pairing dinner is a modern take on a German Pilsner, with classic hop backbone and modern flavour and aroma accents to compliment south-east Asian cuisine.
