Grant Morley is a scientist come start-up biotechnology company manager. Most recently managing a university start-up company developing a clinical stage compound for Alzheimer’s disease. Grant dabbled in home brewing during his university days but after a 20-year hiatus returned to the hobby with gusto 4 years ago.
He brews on a 50L single vessel German brewhouse (Braumeister) and his two conical fermenters are seldom empty. Grant insists he is more addicted to the brewing process more than the product, but that is matter for debate. He enjoys brewing a wide range of style from Pilsners and to Imperial Stouts and everything in between. He is an Australian Amateur Brewing Championship gold medal holder and VicBrew Champion Brewer with a record aggregate score. Grant has recently decided to apply his management and brewing expertise to set up a boutique Brewpub in Richmond with his wife Denise, which is expected to open mid 2018.
