The pairing dinner for this year’s ANHC is to be held as a separate and exclusive event.  The location will be the magnificent Freemasons Hall, located on North Terrace Adelaide.

The dinner will consist of 5 courses paired with 5 homebrewed beers from across Australia. Head Chef Becky Hartman-Kearns has constructed a menu around the beers to include Poached King George Whiting Roulade, Twice Cooked Pork Belly and Char Grilled, Slow Cooked Lamb Rump. Chef Becky completed her formal training at Tafe Light Square and Regency Park with Ayers House and Homestead Catering. She then traveled Europe and worked at the prestigious Claridges Hotel in London. She has also worked in many different countries, at numerous cafes and pubs and now works in catering.

Brewers for the event include Mark Smith (Dr Smurto, SA), Dale Carrol (WA), Darko Blatnik (Vic), Gary Dury (WA) and Mark Overton (ACT).

1SAISON - Dale Carrol (WA) paired to

1 (SHARED PLATES) Steamed Pork Dumpling with chili Soy dipping sauce
Crisp Prawn wonton with Lemon Grass and Fresh Coriander
Tender Peking Duck wrapped in spring onion and Chive Omelette

2PASSIONFRUIT BERLINER WEISSE - Darko Blatnik (VIC) paired to

2POACHED KING GEORGE WHITING ROULADE served with Seared Asparagus and a delicate Caper and Dill Lemon Sauce.

3RAUCHBIER - Gary Dury (WA)

3TWICE COOKED PORK BELLY marinated in Rauchbier on a bed of Steamed Greens with a Sweet Spiced Cherry Sauce.

4AMERICAN RYE IPA - Mark Overton (ACT) paired to

4CHAR GRILLED, SLOW ROASTED LAMB RUMP with Crispy Sea Salted Baby Potato and Fresh Mint infused Greek Yogurt. Served with Baby spinach and rocket salad with crispy pear, toasted walnut, grated parmesan with an IPA infused dressing and Sour dough bread with black garlic butter.

5BARREL AGED IMPERIAL STOUT - Mark Smith (Dr Smurto, SA) paired to

5PLATES OF DECADENCE
Locally sourced selection of Cheeses with Tender Sundried Fruits
Rich Dark Chocolate Dipped Truffles
Ginger Honeycomb and Chili Salted Chocolate

The dinner will commence at an early 5:00 pm to give the punters time after the dinner to make their way down to Wheaty for the official ANHC welcoming party.

The Paring dinner is not just for beer nerds, for foodies alike.
