Steve Kirby started brewing in 1990 using fruit from local fruit trees and moved quickly onto beers.
Eventually, in about 2010 at the suggestion of his wife and his local medievalist group, he began brewing meads. The mead bug bit hard and it wasn’t long before he started Stone Dog going commercial.
2014 – present: co-owner, director and mead maker for Stone Dog Meadery
2014: Won Silver at the NSW championship and Gold at ANHC4 in the Mead category and had my Saison served at the ANHC 4 Gala dinner
2012 & 2013: Placed in NSW state comp in the farmhouse ale section
