Brendan's enthusiasm for homebrewing is such that, despite spending his working week brewing professionally for over six years, he still spends his weekends homebrewing.

He is also a regular host of homebrew demonstrations at his local homebrew store and is actively involved in home-brewer education and homebrew competitions. Brendan has a keen interest in sour beer, and has been brewing various sour styles for over 9 years, during which time he has witnessed a massive growth in interest as well as information, ingredients and processes for brewing them. As Head Brewer at 3 Ravens he has developed a range of sours including the Wild Ravens series of barrel-aged beers, the Mash “Wizz Fizz” Berliner Weisse series as well as various experiments with kettle souring. For ANHC 5 Brendan will be presenting a range of modern sour beer brewing techniques.

He completed the Diploma of Brewing in 2010 at Edith Cowan University and is a National level BJCP judge.
