Meet Our Speakers

Kirrily has spent the past 23 years working in the Australian Beer industry, building a reputation as a credible and passionate industry champion. Kirrily is better known to the Australian brewing industry as Beer Diva, and really needs no introduction.

Chris White lives in San Diego, California, USA, where he serves as President and CEO of White Labs Inc. Chris founded White Labs in 1995 to make yeast. Chris has a Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego and a B.S. from the University of California Davis.

Geoff is a homebrewer, now working as QA Manager at Billson’s Brewery. He became interested in unusual yeasts and explored the traditional Norwegian kveiks, including a Kveik workshop on a farm in Sykkylven, western Norway, with a historic yeast culture that had been handed down for many generations.

Dr Derek Lacey is the Founder and CEO of Bluestone Yeast Co, Australia’s first and only liquid yeast manufacturer. Derek is a scientist wIth 15+ years experience in cell biology & a keen interest in beer brewcraft.
